Cooktown with Adventure North

I finally got to Cooktown!! That elusive place that one just never seems to get around to going to. But hey....it was worth it. I had the good fortune to go on a fabulous one day tour with one of the norths best tour operators, Adventure North. The trip took us up the coast road beyond Cape Tribulation...through awesome rainforest and across freshwater creeks. Stopping off at the famous Lions Den Hotel for lunch before going on to spend some free time in Cooktown. We came back via the inland way where the landscape changes to open plains and savanah. Just beautiful. It was a big day arriving back in Cairns at 9pm after a great bbq dinner at the historic Mt Molloy Hotel. I arrived back in Mission Beach by midnight. Tired but so happy about the day the I had just had. If you would like more info on this fabulous tour drop into the Mission Beach Information Station at Mission Beach...by the Big Cassowary.
