Buses

Effective today, most services between Brisbane, Mission Beach and Cairns will be reinstated! We have been advised Gympie has reopened, and Rockhampton will reopen to heavy vehicles as of 4pm today. Greyhound and Premier buses can be booked at the Mission Beach Information Station

Poseidon Outer Reef Cruises

Mission Beach Information Station ‎'Poseidon' is well recommended for anyone wanting to snorkel or scuba the famous Agincourt Reef off Port Douglas. The boat goes to 3 sites and the reef is truly a wonderland. Bookings can be made at the Mission Beach Information Station as well as accommodation in Port Douglas. Don't forget to explore our own backyard. Its the best in the world!!

Greyhound Australia

GREYHOUND AUSTRALIA in conjunction with Emu Beach Resort are working together to get their valued customers around the flooded town of Rockhampton to allow them to continue their journey north up to Airlie Beach, Mission Beach and Cairns.
The package that has been put together is available for customers who have a valid Greyhound Pass that allows them travel between Brisbane and Cairns. And of course Mission Beach!

Mission beach

Mission Beach is a haven for backpackers. In Mission Beach backpackers have a chance to chill out between the rowdy nightlife of Cairns and Airlie Beach or can still choose to go hard with world famous white water rafting on the Tully River, skydiving onto the beach, snorkelling or diving the Great Barrier Reef, taking the water taxi to Dunk Island to do a spot of hiking, or heading out for some more nightlife at the local bars and restaurants.

Things are almost 'back to normal' today in Mission Beach. Woolworths is open and so is the Mission Beach Information Station. Don't forget if you have any New Years photos to develop we have the Kodak Instant Digital Photo Kiosk here. Photos printed while you wait!!

Road Open

The road south of Mission Beach is now open. Yippee!!. Happy travellers that have been stranded in Mission Beach and Cardwell are very happy!

Road Update

Roads from Mission Beach to Cairns are open but from Mission Beach southward the road is blocked near Ingham

Bruce Highway Closed

The Bruce Highway is still cut between Mission Beach and Townsville and not looking very promising to open before tomorrow. We will keep you posted. Have a fabulous Mission Beach Christmas everyone who has made it here!! We are open every day except Christmas Day & New Years Day :-)
