Skydive in Mission Beach

Jump with one of the two skydive companies in Mission Beach. Skydiving from either 11000ft or 14000ft is incredible. You can have your jump recorded on DVD, either Handycam for an 'In your Face' video that's all about you or use a solo camera operator for an extreme action skydive video. Spicy Thai Hut

I had the pleasure of dining at Mission Beach's newest restaurant Spicy Thai Hut on Tuesday night. Thai food is a real favourite of mine and I can tell you the meals were fantastic. They are located in Wongaling Beach and you can dine in or takeaway. So I strongly suggest you go in and check it out!

Coral Sea Kayaking

My sister and brother-in-law came to visit me here in Mission Beach. On Saturday we had a fabulous day with Coral Sea Kayaking. We sea kayaked over to Dunk Island, lunching and snorkelling on Coconut Beach on the far side of the Island. The wildlife put on a bit of a show for us, we saw turtles, sting rays, flying fish and a small shark. It was awesome to visit Dunk Island under our own steam, there is a real sense of achievement when you get back to South Mission Beach at the end of the day. This is one tour I can strongly recommend!!!!!

Lacey Creek Walking Track

A favourite amongst the locals in Mission Beach! The track is about 7 km out of town, is 1.2km long, and extremely beautiful. Informative signage, fish viewing platform and a chance of seeing the elusive cassowary make this a terrific walk. Toilet and picnic facilities available. The Rainforest did suffer significant damage from Cyclone Larry (2006) which provides visitors with a unique opportunity to see the rainforest's regeneration process.
