Great Barrier Reef

There are two companies that visit the Great Barrier Reef from Mission Beach. If you would like to take advantage of the lovely weather we are enjoying here at the moment then let us know and we can help you book a trip with Calypso or Quick Cat. You can snorkel, scuba dive or even enjoy a glass bottom viewing boat, sounds just lovely doesn't it.

The Butternut Cottage in Mission Beach is closing down, but not for another month, so come in to the shop at Wongaling Beach Shopping Centre before the end of May to get a bargain.

Tropic Wings Tours

I have just gotten back to Mission Beach after doing a fantastic trip with Tropic Wings. A Cairns based company that do tours of the Atherton Tablelands, Kuranda, Cape Tribulation, Port Douglas, Green Island. We did the Kuranda Railway and Skyrail tour.The time inbetween was spent in Kuranda visiting the Butterfly Farm, the quirky village of Kuranda with its markets and great eating spots. We spent 3 hours at Rainforestation. What a fabulous place. Lunch was deeeeelicious and the Army Duck tour was certianly something different and memorable. The sun is shining again

If your in Mission Beach this weekend then your lucky enough to be enjoying the sunshine as I am. It's a great day to go walking through the rainforest or along the beach, a bit of a dip in the stinger nets ( yes they are still in ), or even jump in a kayak and go for a paddle. If you are coming to Mission Beach to do a skydive don't regret not getting a Dvd of your experience. Its a fantastic thing to take back to show family and friends and prove that you really did do it !!! You can also bring your Dvd into the Mission Beach Information Station and watch it on the big screen. We love to share your experience too

In the 70’s many hippies, local and international artist's created the ‘Arts Factory’! In the 80’s it was an internationally recognized rock and roll venue. The ‘Birthplace’ of much of the fame and spirit of Byron Bay, it still maintains that original spirit today.

Bedarra and Family Islands Tour

One of our local tour operators here in Mission Beach has started a new tour. It is the Bedarra and Family Islands tour. It includes a 2 hour cruise with informative commentary on board.
